In this magazine ‘’HTX from inside’ you can read about our school. Students at Tradium HTX Randers writes the articles in the magazine. We do not think the ordinary overview pamphlets from the school give the future students the best presentation of our school.

Not just an ordinary information pamphlet
There are many prejudices against HTX in the common counterpart to our school. It can be true that some students in common school do not drop out to study at HTX, even though it is the best education for them. Just because of the bad things, the other students are telling them about our school and the students attending it. We want to give these students our view on the school. They should know that the school is not only for boys, who is playing computer all day.
Most people think that the students at HTX solely consists of unsocial nerds. People generally also thinks that the few girls who are here are also nerds. HTX is the most unpopular choice when it comes to education, only 1-3 students out of 25 is choosing to study at HTX after ninth or tenth grade. In my class in ninth grade, only two students chose to go to HTX. Both of them studies at Tradium HTX Randers and are now happy to attend school here at us. One of them is Maja Grankjær Carøe, who chose study programme A, which has physic as a mandatory subject for the full duration of the programme, which is three years. She is delighted to study at HTX. In 1.a, Maja is the only girl in the class. “It is very exciting to go in a class with many boys. I have much in common with the boys in my class. They love programming and physics just like me.”
It is unique that only one girl have chosen a field of study. In the other classes, there is more than one girl. In 1.b, which is the biological and chemical, more than half of the class is girls. People only thinks that 5-10 percent of the students at the school is girls, but it is much more than 10 percent. I also think that it is a great deal of fun to attend a class with so many boys. We are tree girls and twenty-one boys in my class. It makes for a very cheerful atmosphere and there are no stupid girl quarrels. It is always funny to go to school and nobody is experiencing solitude because they feel secluded. However, this is not always the case in the common school, where bullying is a big part of the everyday life.
The technical school is known to have a whole lot more LAN-parties than normal parties. It is something we want to change. We want more girls to take a technical education at HTX. The school needs another and better reputation so more students will choose to go to the technical school instead of STX, which is the ordinary high school. At our school the subjects and the field of study is more appealing to the technical and scientific jobs. These jobs are for example engineering and university educations in the science subjects. HTX gives a much better academic and technical ground to these higher educations, as most of them require specific entry subjects that are only available if you study at HTX.
