About HTX

HTX stand for Higher Technical Examination. HTX is a youth education program and it takes 3 years from start to the end. HTX in Randers is an education, who specializes in the technical subjects and science. The four fields of study on HTX makes it possible to choose the technical and scientific subjects, so it matches the higher education you want to take after HTX. An example is the field of study with chemistry A and math A. This study programme is special to the students, who want to be doctors, chemists or study medicine.

HTX Randers is a small school where there are 345 students. A lot of males attend HTX, out of the 345 students only 20 % of them are female. HTX is maybe a “male-education” but the number of females on HTX is growing and for each year, more and more females starts on HTX. At HTX there is a big focus on the social aspect, and because we are such a small school, it is important that, the students become social. There are many different social arrangements on HTX. A few weeks ago, there was a weekend trip to Gjern, and last weekend was there LAN party for the gamers and this weekend there is party on HTX for the students.

HTX is not like every other education, because there is the option to choose subjects as:  technology, design, programming, mechatronics, idea history etc. Of course, we also have all the "general" subjects such as: Danish, English, mathematics, physics, chemistry, etc. The technical and scientific subjects are making a better ground for the scientific higher educations. However, at HTX we also have the humanistic subjects and English. These general subjects makes it possible to switch to other higher educations. This means that if you study at a technical school, you are not closing the door to the humanistic educations such as pedagogue.

The students on HTX thinks that HTX is a nice place to be, because you get more responsibility and it is your choice whether or not you want to go here. It also teaches you wide variety of subjects, and things are taken seriously. The teachers are also friendly and are more than happy to help you if you have some problems.
